Tire Warranty

At JC Tire Shop, we sell new tires only, backed by the original manufacturer’s warranty plus our own 7-day defect protection. Every tire is mounted and balanced in-house by our team — no fine print, no surprises.

1. New Tire Manufacturer Warranty

Every new tire we sell is covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Coverage varies by brand and model — for example:

• Michelin: typically 2 to 6 years of materials and workmanship coverage, depending on the line.
• Goodyear: materials and workmanship coverage with mileage warranties on select models.
• BFGoodrich: materials and workmanship coverage, with treadwear warranties on many touring and all-terrain lines.
• Westlake and other value brands: manufacturer-backed limited warranty against defects.

The exact term, mileage coverage, and claim process depend on the brand and model you purchased. We can pull the warranty card for your specific tire at pickup, and our team will help you file a manufacturer claim if a covered defect shows up later.

2. 7-Day Defect Protection

If a tire is defective on arrival — a manufacturing flaw, a slow leak from an internal defect, sidewall separation not caused by impact, or a balance issue we cannot correct — bring it back within 7 days of pickup and we will give you a 100% refund or a free exchange, your choice.

This protection is on top of the manufacturer’s warranty and covers you while you confirm the tire is performing the way it should.

3. What’s Not Covered

Our defect protection covers manufacturing issues — not damage from use. The following are not covered:

• Road hazards: nails, screws, potholes, curbs, glass, debris.
• Cuts, punctures, and impact damage from driving.
• Misuse: overloading, racing, off-road use on street tires, or driving on a flat.
• Normal tread wear over time.
• Damage from improper inflation, bad alignment, or worn suspension on the vehicle.
• Cosmetic blemishes that do not affect performance or safety.
• Tires altered, modified, or repaired outside our shop.

4. Tire Repair Service

Picked up a nail? Slow leak from a puncture? We offer professional patch repairs starting at $20. Our team performs internal patch-plug repairs on the tread area in line with industry safety standards. Sidewall punctures and damage outside the repairable tread zone cannot be safely patched and will require replacement.

Walk in or call ahead — most repairs are done same-day.

5. How to Make a Claim

If you believe your tire has a defect:

1. Stop driving on it as soon as it is safe.
2. Call us at (504) 381-4908 to let us know what happened.
3. Bring the tire and your receipt or order number to the shop within 7 days of pickup.
4. Our team will inspect the tire on the spot and determine whether the failure is a covered defect.

If your claim is approved under our 7-day defect protection, we will exchange the tire for an identical replacement or issue a 100% refund — your choice. For claims under the manufacturer’s warranty after the 7-day window, we will help you file directly with the manufacturer.
